Increasing Productivity Through Active Listening Skills

Effective listening skills are crucial. Listening is a fundamental source of information as well as a key element in developing interpersonal relations. It is an essential skill for effective communication and it requires an ability to accurately hear what someone says and verifying the information.

This workshop will cover tips, techniques, and suggestions for developing an active listening attitude. The course will focus on different listening styles and preferences. The workshop format is very interactive, incorporating a listening assessment, games, exercises and role-plays to illustrate the power of listening. At the end of the workshop participants will have acquired key skills to help them master active listening, experience fewer communication glitches and be more productive in using the power of listening.

Workshop Objectives:

Discuss the four basic listener styles.
Review how to hold attention and avoid having people “tune-out”.
Focus on how to improve relationships and increase productivity.
Specific steps to listening and paraphrasing.
Explore some irritating listening habits.
